on a hunt for bracelets... and a Miu Miu store (anywhere!)

Style is smth not easy to figure out and build. You are getting there, slowly, with million attempts, good and bad. It consists of so many tiny things - shapes, colors, brands, textures. I think style is not only about the look, but also about the feeling, the vibe that you get when you pick your outfit for today. Every time I look thru the Free People stuff, I know exactly I will click on smth. Their easy cuts are so rocking and ... easy, I love it! To balance the simplicity of lines, there is always some detail going on - embroidery, or paillettes or print. When I walked into the Scotch and Soda store in Amsterdam I got the same vibe. I guess that's what style stands for. Some kinda of similarities in your choice, but with a new twist every time.
For accessories, I keep getting more and more into braelets. May be I just lke my wrists and fingers a whole lot, and bangles definitely attract more attention to those, idk, but surely I keep adding new items to my bracelet wish-list all the time. So, that's new in there:

#1 totally rocking Hermes Kelly Double Tour bracelet

For some reason I am ok with their bright enamel ones, but this one is a must!
Still deciding between black and brown, but definitely with a golden clip.

#2 Freshly-discovered Kiel James Patrick bracelets.

As if they are made specifically to charm any summer outfit! I've always liked the whole marine theme, and this brand makes it even more charming for me. Forces me to miss my Cali girls, shorts, stripes and fedoras.
Damn! I am skipping the hottest sailors in the world! Red Bull Youth America’s Cup - San Francisco, USA, Feb 09- Feb 24, 2013.

#3 Tiffany's of course.

heart tag bracelet

Elsa Peretti®
Open Heart silk bracelet

Definitely because of this turquoise color which is so classical and girlie and the simplicity of the heart execution - wow.

Can not wait to go get them all!;)

Because we run like someone’s chasing us, and we like it

It’s so cool to track your own philosophy changing throughout the lifetime again and again. I’ve recently been thinking about moments a whole lot. Big things in life are all the same – I mean we are born and give birth, we go to college and graduate, we get married and we divorce. Little things is smth that actually matters. Details fill our life with sense, love, sorrow, sometimes one phrase can all of a sudden rock your entire world whereas you talk for hours and don’t hear each other. It’s smth about how the brain and the heart cooperate I guess – a random thought or idea may stay in your head for months and the other one will just pass by.
This half year I was kinda of blessed with moments. There was so much going on! Crazy nights and stupid things, conversations till the dawn, exploration of the world and gratitude to the Universe for friends and work and fun that I’ve got. Millions of vanilla lattes and tons of thoughts, kisses and tears, new places and shoes. I still didn’t find my center but every time I am down inspiration just comes, appears out of the blue and forces me to stand up and keep going. Books, travelling and movies, writing and shopping – it’s different all the time.

What stays with me forever is my dear friends, my closest people in the world, my soul mates, who always hop in at the right time – with a sandwich, or a cup of coffee, or a hug and a phrase: “you are my happy thought”.  They walk in a park in mid January when my tears are freezing on my cheeks and stay up all night with a glass of wine. They translate kids books from Dutch to English all evening cause they know how vital it is to me. They laugh when it’s funny and don’t if it’s not (haha, some of them do anyways and I start laughing too). They send me postcards and gifts. They talk to me on the phone when someone is lying next to them in bed. They drink vodka and whiskey and always let me choose the taste of smoke pipe (which I can never explain in a normal way). They discuss philosophy, history, literature, guys and “Oh my god, I just got a Burberry trench!!”- kind of stuff with me. They make me live my life with a smile and be happy, day by day.

I matured a lot and at the same time became a worse kid then’ve ever been. There were good days and bad days, joys and sorrows but one thing that no doubt matters is the attitude. If you decide to be happy you are happy. It’s just a habit, like running, for instance. Either you do it or don’t – as simple as that. Either you take every day of your life with a smile and happiness in your heart or you drown in your own problems. Just stick to the decisions you’ve made – or change them every now and then. Play with your life, be flirty, young, happy and kicking! Time to rock, roll and never settle!
